Today marks the end of my first transfer as a missionary! Each transfer is 6 weeks long and for that time frame you stay in one area and have one companion. This next transfer I will be staying in the same area and Elder Judd will be my companion! He is an awesome elder and from Highland, Utah.
Last week we went to the Los Angeles Temple and it was absolutely beautiful! I have never been to that temple before and it sits up on a hill and you can see downtown LA really clearly. Temples are sacred places of worship where we go as members to make covenants (aka promises) with God that allow further and stronger blessings in our daily life! We get married in them and seal families together for time and all eternity.
On the way back we drove through Malibu, CA on the Pacific Coast Highway. We drove right on the coast line and rolled down the windows and felt that cool ocean breeze. It’s not a bad place to drive to be honest. with the mountains on one side and the ocean right on the other.
Our area is continuing to grow with more and more investigators! We have two investigators with baptismal dates! Our ward is really energetic about missionary work which is such a huge blessing because as missionaries we can’t do effective work on our own.
My testimony of prayer has become a priority for me lately. Prayer is a very powerful tool that God has given to us, its easy to do and also easy not to do. God is the masterful and powerful creature of everything we see and He wants us to talk to Him daily! How blessed are we with that opportunity? We can ask God for comfort, strength, peace, guidance and all those things we need in our life to be successful in His eyes. Always remember prayer that God loves you and wants to help you, all you have to do is ask in faith.
Have a great week everyone!
