Hello from Westlake Village, California!
We got our transfer assignments and it turns out that I will be staying the Westlake Village for at least another 6 weeks! We got 13 new missionaries in from the Missionary Training Center this past weekend and I have been selected to be a trainer! I will find out exactly who it is tomorrow afternoon. It’s such a blessing and opportunity to be able to have this experience to serve as a trainer so early in my mission!
My previous companion, Elder Judd, will be serving in the Westlake Village Young Single Adult ward! A lot of our district is staying the same, but we are getting a total of 4 new missionaries out of the 8. Yes 50% of the same is actually a lot…
This past week, the work has been nothing short of amazing! In the area we have 2 investigators that are preparing for baptism on November 19th! Our ward members have been accepting invitations to share and give a copy of the Book of Mormon to a nonmember in the period of one week! We will go over for a dinner appointment and share a message based off the scripture Doctrine and Covenants 68:4-5
“4 And whatsoever they shall speak when moved upon by the Holy Ghost shall be scripture, shall be the will of the Lord, shall be the mind of the Lord, shall be the word of the Lord, shall be the voice of the Lord, and the power of God unto salvation.
“5 Behold, this is the promise of the Lord unto you, O ye my servants.”
When we are on the Lord’s errand, He will not let us fail! I know this to be true because I see it on my life every single day! Don’t be afraid to be a witness of Jesus Christ! I love our God and am honored to be a representative of His Son, Jesus Christ, every day of my life for 2 whole years.
Till next week,
1- One of the members in our ward likes to dig a grave in her front yard for Halloween. I took advantage of the opportunity to lay down in one for a quick little nap from the day’s work.
2- Elder Bradley was my district leader this past transfer and we were on exchanges for the day when we went to this member’s front yard.
